Amul known for its creative ads


December 13: Amul paid tribute to late cartoonist Mario Miranda in their new ad. The ad features the Amul girl with Miss Fonseca and Miss Nimbupani, who are Mario's well-known creations.

Mario, who was 85, died in Goa on Monday (December 12, 2011) after a prolonged illness. 



June, 2011: The recent murder of crime reporter J Dey in Mumbai inspired the latest of Amul's famous ads, a sombre tribute to the slain journalist.  
April, 2011: V Achutanandan, the grand old man from Kerala, called Rahul Gandhi an "Amul Baby" in a political exchange during the recent state elections. Admittedly, the youthful Rahul started it with a comment on Achutanandan's advanced age. Amul were quick to capitalize on the name calling.
April 2011: Social crusader Anna Hazare brought a government to it's knees by the simple method of going on fast. The protest quickly gathered momentum, mobilizing public support. Amul's response was to brand itself "fast food".
Amul known for its creative ads based on the current affairs have designed a new ad for Amul India that shows the new symbol for Indian Rupee.
